Anniston Water Works and Sewer Board facilities receive awards for outstanding operations in 2013.
The 68th Annual Alabama Water and Pollution Control Association (AWPCA) recognized the two facilities at a conference held July 29-31 in Montgomery. According to the Anniston Water Works and Sewer Board Press Release, Paul B. Krebs and Earl C. Knowlton Water Treatment Plants both received awards on this occasion.
The Paul B. Krebs Water Treatment Plant was awarded for outstanding operations by the operators at the plant for ground water treatment facilities who serve populations between 50,001 and 100,000.
The Earl C. Knowlton Water Treatment Plant was given an award of excellence for Surface Water Plants with capacities between 5.1 and 10.0 million gallons per day.
AWCPA is a statewide organization whose focus is entirely on the improvement of water and wastewater.
