BIRMINGHAM, AL -

A Jefferson County Judge has scheduled the preliminary hearing for youth evangelist Larry 'Matt' Pitt.

Thursday morning, District Judge Katrina Ross has set the hearing for December 9th at 9:00 am.

Pitt is accused of representing himself as a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy to a resident in the 5200 Block of Falling Creek Lane on June 15, 2013.

He is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on no bond for allegedly violating his probation in a 2012 case there where he pleaded guilty to impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Pitt will appear in a Shelby County courtroom on September 24th for a probation revocation hearing.

He was arrested on August 20th moments after finishing an interview with Alabama's 13 about his response to the new allegations in which he denied impersonation an officer.

Pitt founded the Basement Ministries which meets every week at the Boutwell Auditorium in downtown Birmingham and at one time drew thousands of area youth to each service.
