UPDATE: Shelby County highway reopened, after truck crash

HARPERSVILLE, AL -

UPDATE: The Shelby County Sheriff's Office reports Highway 76 has been reopened, as of 12:00pm CT. The spilled fertilizer has been removed from the road.

 

A Shelby County highway was closed Tuesday morning, after a tractor trailer truck overturned with a load of fertilizer.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office reports the wreck happened about 9:00am CT on Highway 76 (Klein Road), at the intersection of Highway 79 (Sun Valley Road).

That's in the Harpersville area.

The wrecked truck was hauling bagged fertilizer, and a small amount spilled into the roadway.

The entire length of Highway 76 from Highway 25 to Highway 280 is closed.

No injuries were reported.
