University of Alabama president waits on voter fraud investigation
BIRMINGHAM, AL -
TUSCALOOSA -- The president of the University of Alabama says the school can't investigate voter fraud allegations until local and state officials have done so.
University president Judy Bonner wrote a letter in response to allegations that some of the school's Greek system members were encouraged to vote for municipal election candidates in exchange for alcoholic drinks.
Board of Education district four incumbent Kelly Horwitz has filed a suit contesting the election.
She lost the race to Cason Kirby, a recent UA graduate, by less than 90 votes.
