Friday afternoon, Regions financial will host a panel discussion titled, "Beyond Suffering and Suffrage: The Past, Present and Future of International Civil and Human Rights." The discussion will focus on the Civil Rights movement in Birmingham and its impact around the world.
The panel will be moderated by "CBS This Morning" co-host, Gayle King. Members of the panel will include, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones and retired U.S. District Judge U.W. Clemon. Birmingham Mayor William Bell, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx will also be in attendance.
Chairman, President and CEO of Regions Financial, Grayson Hall, said the company is excited to play a role in Empowerment Week.
