Tide players aware of "Next Man Up"

It's one of the top entries in the "Coach Speak Dictionary."

"Next man up."

When a player gets injured, whoever is behind him on the depth chart has to fill the void.

Alabama has had their share of injuries lately. Players like Amari Cooper, Anthony Steen, and Deion Belue have all missed time.

The latest injured player is center Ryan Kelly. He hurt his knee (MCL) in Bama's victory over Ole Miss. Chad Lindsay stepped up by playing well in Kelly's absence.

Players like Steen and Trey DePriest recalled the first time they replaced an injured player during a game as a member of the Crimson Tide. They both agreed once you've been in that role, it's easier to tell the younger players on the roster you have to be ready when your number is called.

#1 Alabama will host Georgia State this Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is at 11:21 AM.
