The unofficial results are in for runoff elections held in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
In the Birmingham City Council District Two seat, incumbent Kim Rafferty beat out Rolanda Hollis with 52 percent of the vote. In district nine, Marcus Lundy beat Leroy Bandy with 70 percent of the vote.
As for the Birmingham Board of Education, Sherman Collins beat Douglass Ragland with 62 percent of the vote for the district one seat. In district four, Daagye Hendricks won convincingly over Gwen Sykes with 73 percent of the vote. In district six, Cheri Garnder beat Gwendolyn Bell with 65 percent of the vote.
Meanwhile, two City Council seats were up for grabs today in Tuscaloosa. In district one, Burrell Odom received 57 percent of the vote to beat incumbent Bobby Howard. In district six, Eddie Pugh beat incumbent Bob Lundell with 55 percent of the vote.
