Six Alabama coal miners are getting medical treatment Friday, after an accident inside an Oak Grove mine.
The Concord Fire Department reports an industrial accident was reported about 2:30pm CT at the Oak Grove Mine north portal.
The CFD says 6 miners were hurt in a "mancart", while being transported to the mine.
The "mancart" apparently collided with something, causing an accident.
The workers were brought up to the surface, and then rescue crews were able to transport them to hospitals.
5 of the miners were taken be ambulance, and 1 miner was transported by medical helicopter.
The CFD says all of the injuries were non life-threatening.
