A grass fire slowed traffic down for a while Wednesday on Interstate 65 in Blount County.
The Alabama State Troopers report the grass fire burned on I-65 at mile marker 286, just north of the Hayden exit.
One lane in each direction was closed, while the one lane going north and one lane going south remained open.
The smoke from the grass fire was causing some visibility concerns for drivers.
All lanes were reopened about 4:00pm CT.
As lanes reopened, fire crews were still on the scene dousing out some hot spots.
It's unknown how many acres burned, and what caused the fire.
