Birmingham man arrested with sawed off shotgun, Halloween mask

A Birmingham man is being held in jail without bond after being discovered in his truck with a sawed-off shotgun and a Halloween mask in the car.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Brian Ronnell Woody of Birmingham was found sitting in a pickup on the 2300 block of Raintree Court in Center Point after someone reported a man with a gun.

When he saw deputies, Woody exited the truck and threw his keys.

Inside the vehicle was an SKS rifle, ammunition and a Halloween mask.

Woody was charged with being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of a short-barreled firearm.

He's being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
