The body of 31-year-old Amanda Ressler of Hoover was found yesterday in a dirt/gravel pit near McCalla.
MCCALLA, AL -
The body of a 31-year-old Hoover woman was found Tuesday night near McCalla while police took a report about her disappearance.
According to the Tuscaloosa County Police Department, workers at a gravel/dirt pit in McCalla found the body in a car near the 21000 block of Dream Lake Road.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Amanda Ressler. Ressler was last seen between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Monday. Her parents said they thought she was going job hunting, but they didn't know a specific location.
She's the mother of four children who live in a different state.
Right now, authorities don't know the victim's cause death or how the car ended up in a dirt pit.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office and the Hoover Police Department are working together to investigate the case.
