Here are the top ten games of week 11:
10. Penn State at Minnesota – 11:00 a.m. ESPN 2
This game might not sound that great on paper, but the coaching job by both coaches has been incredible.
We all know what Bill O'Brien is doing with one hand tied behind his back at Penn State.
Minnesota is (7-2) this season under Jerry Kill who’s been away treating his seizures. Still though, Kill is in the box and is very involved in the Gophers success.
9. Texas at West Virginia – 6:00 p.m. FOX
The Longhorns have won 5 straight since Mack Brown was placed on the “hot seat”. The Horns are prefect in league play and winning the Big12 Title might be the only way Brown saves his job.
8. #9 Auburn at Tennessee – 11:00 a.m. ESPN
The Vols are playing their 5th ranked team in a row…the lowest of which was ranked 11th. The Vols need two more wins to earn a bowl berth, but it’s not going to be easy.
For some reason Auburn is only a 7 ½ favorite in the game according to the oddsmakers. The Tigers are one of the top rushing teams in the SEC…The Vols have struggled to stop the run.
7. Houston at #21 UCF – 6:00 p.m. ESPN2
There’s a lot on the line in this American Conference showdown. Both teams are unbeaten in AAC play and the winner will be in the drives seat for a BCS Bowl.
6. Virginia Tech at #11 Miami - 6:00 p.m. ESPN
A win for the Hokies would force a tie for first place in the ACC Coastal.
Can the Canes bounce back?
5. #19 UCLA AT Arizona – 9:00 p.m. ESPN
This is a huge PAC12 South matchup. Both teams are tied in the standings, and the looser will be out of the division race.
4. BYU at #24 Wisconsin – 6:00 p.m. FOX
Both of these teams are highly underrated. BYU should be a top 25 team, and Wisconsin should be a top 20 team at the least. Both teams love to run the ball and it will be interesting to see who can win in the trenches.
3. #10 Oklahoma at #6 Baylor – 6:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1
UPDATE: Baylor hammers Oklahoma 41-12.
Can Baylor stay unbeaten? The Bears up until this point have played a very soft schedule. A win over Oklahoma will help them enter BCS Title talks.
2. #13 LSU at #1 Alabama – 7:00 p.m. CBS
No one had given Nick Saban more fits than LSU’s Les Miles.
Saban does own a 4-3 record over his former school, but none have come easy.
1. #3 Oregon at #5 Stanford – Thursday 8:00 p.m. ESPN
UPDATE: Stanford upsets Oregon 26-20.
Third-ranked and undefeated Oregon faces fifth-ranked one loss Stanford. Remember last year, Stanford upset Oregon clearing the way for Bama to get back into the BCS Championship?
The question is…will the Duck survive their biggest test of the season? It’s a weeknight game on the road…could be dangerous.
