Fans pack into Tuscaloosa for LSU/Tide game

It's LSU versus Alabama weekend, and T-Town is ready to rock.

Alabama Gameday officials expect 150,000 people to invade Tuscaloosa this weekend, with most of them packing into Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday night.

RVs are already lined up with fans celebrating, and LSU fans are arriving in Tuscaloosa, and some were seen at a Birmingham hotel.

Canopies line the quad, and ESPN’s GameDay crew is in town to broadcast the excitement leading up to the game.

Here are some tips for those of you heading to Tuscaloosa soon for the LSU/Alabama Gameday:

Schedule of Events

Friday 11/8

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Quad drop off

Moore Hall & Little Hall drop off

Saturday 11/9

7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Quad drop off

Moore Hall & Little Hall drop off 

Public parking lots open and Crimson Ride shuttle begins

8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

ESPN Gameday broadcast at the Walk of Champions

2:00 p.m.

Campus roadblocks enforced

4:00 p.m.

Will Call open - Gate 32

4:00 p.m.

Kickoff on the Quad

- Food and beverage vendors located on the east side of the Quad

4:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

UA Swimming and Diving - 4:15 p.m. - 5 p.m.

UA Track and Field - 5:15 p.m. - 6 p.m.

- The autograph tent is located in the SE portion of the Quad

4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

- The autograph session will be at the Regions tent in the SE portion of Quad

5:00 p.m.

Gates open at Bryant-Denny Stadium

5:10 p.m.

Alabama vs. LSU

University Blvd. Closing for ESPN Gameday

University Blvd. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Saturday morning from Campus Dr. W. to Stadium Dr. for the broadcasting of ESPN Gameday.  If you head west on University Blvd. to access Stadium Dr. for Quad drop off, you will NOT be affected.  The road block will be set up to force all vehicles on University Blvd. to turn right on Stadium Dr. 

Campus Roadblocks

We anticipate a large crowd and heavy pedestrian traffic on the streets.  Because of this, core campus roadblocks will be set at 2 p.m.
