HALEYVILLE, AL - A Haleyville teen is reportedly in police custody after allegedly stabbing his parents last night.

According to the victim's sister, Renea and Wade Montgomery were attacked by their 16-year-old son last night sometime around 11:00 p.m.

The son allegedly left in his father's truck.

According to family, Wade Montgomery laid underneath a window in the home and yelled for help all night. He was airlifted to UAB where family say he's in stable condition. Renae was pronounced dead on the scene.

After hours of searching, the son surrendered to authorities at an apartment complex in Haleyville around 11 a.m.

Renea's sister, Lisa Turner, says the family is still in shock and in need of everyone's prayers.

"Just pray for us. Just pray my brother-in-law makes a full recovery and that my nephew gets the help he needs because he is a good kid," she said.

The 16-year-old son is currently in the Marion County Jail. Sheriff Kevin Williams says they plan on charging him as an adult.
