Here are the top ten games of week 12:
10. Florida at #10 South Carolina – 6:00 p.m. ESPN 2
Florida is a train wreck on offense right now, and the worst Gator team that I can remember. But it’s still Steve Spurrier facing his old team, and that’s always worth a peak.
9. Oregon State at #19 Arizona State – 8:30 p.m. PAC12 Network
Late night PAC12 football…need I say more?
8. Syracuse at #2 Florida State – 2:30 ABC/ESPN2
Will the Jameis Winston police investigation distracted the Noles? I say no, but you never know.
Syracuse isn’t a bad team; they’ve won two in a row, and have nothing to lose in this game. The Orange could make it interesting.
7. Georgia Tech at #8 Clemson – Thursday 6:30 p.m. ESPN
The ACC Coastal is still wide-open, but Georgia Tech has to win this game to stay atop the Coastal. Clemson meanwhile, still has hopes of winning out, and earning a BCS at-large.
6. Washington at #13 UCLA – Friday 8:00 p.m. ESPN2
This game also has conference championship implications. Washington is out of the PAC12 race, but UCLA is a game back of Arizona State and the Bruins keep it that way.
FYI: UCLA plays Arizona State next week.
5. #23 Miami at Duke - 2:30 p.m. ESPNU
The Hurricanes left it all on the field in Tallahassee, but Miami is still in the hunt for the ACC Coastal.
Duke is a team that has really surprised me. What a coaching job David Cutcliffe (Ole Miss should have never fired him). The Blue Devils are 7-2 and dreaming of a BCS at-large bid! Never hurts to dream right?
4. #16 Michigan State at Nebraska – 2:30 p.m. ABC/ESPN 2
This is a big…BIG10 showdown. The winner of this game will take over 1st place in the BIG10 Legends division. The question for this one will be…can that stout Spartan defense shut down Nebraska Ameer Abdullah?
3. #12 Oklahoma State at #24 Texas – 2:30 p.m. Fox
How about Texas? I’m starting to buy the Longhorns. I thought this team was toast after their 1-2 start, but they’ve won their last 6! But the Cowboys will be their biggest test.
2. #4 Stanford at USC – 7:00 p.m. ABC
Will Stanford have a hangover? Can USC take advantage of it? The Trojans have really improved and opened it up after the firing of Lane Kiffin.
Stanford is clearly the better team on paper, but we’ve seen teams fall in this situation before.
1. #25 Georgia at #7 Auburn – 2:30 p.m. CBS
Can the Bulldogs knock off the Tigers in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry?
Auburn has the top rushing offensive in the SEC, but Georgia has one of the top rushing defenses in the league. The Bulldogs will also be looking to run with Todd Gurley.
This game will be won in the trenches, and I think it will come down to the final possession.
