Rivalry Week is here!

Here are the top ten games of week 14:

10. Georgia at Georgia Tech – 2:30 p.m. ABC

I hate that Aaron Murray is out, but it is, what it is.

9. #24 Duke at North Carolina – 11:00 a.m. ESPN 2

As crazy as it might seem, but all Duke has to do is win on Saturday, and the Blue Devils are ACC Coastal Champions. If they lose…the Coastal gets really muddy.

8. Minnesota at #11 Michigan State – 11:00 a.m. Big Ten Network

Michigan State needs to win and carry their momentum into the Big Ten Championship. Meanwhile, Minnesota is no pushover.

7. #3 Ohio State at Michigan – 11:00 a.m. ABC

The Wolverines are struggling in the 2nd half of the season, but this is still Ohio State and Michigan!

6. Arizona at #12 Arizona State – 8:30 p.m. PAC12 Net

Should be an entertaining rivalry game and some good late night PAC12 action.

5. #25 Notre Dame at #8 Stanford - 6:00 p.m. FOX

The Irish have won 5 out of their last 6 games, but clearly a step-back from last season. Stanford is a solid team, but struggles with a target on their back. This game is always close.

4. #22 UCLA at #23 USC – 7:00 p.m. ABC

The battle for L.A.; this rivalry is so special because the two schools are just miles apart. Can Coach “O” keep it going?

3. #21 Texas A&M at #5 Missouri – 6:45 p.m. ESPN

There’s a lot of storylines in this one. It could be the last regular season game for Johnny Manziel, and his last shot at making a Heisman statement. The real story line is the SEC East race. If Missouri wins, they punch their ticket for Atlanta. If the Tigers lose, South Carolina wins the bid for the Georgia Dome.

2. #6 Clemson at #10 South Carolina – 6:00 p.m. ESPN 2

The Gamecocks can’t worry too much about the Missouri game, because of their showdown with Clemson. The Battle of the Palmetto State should be a good matchup of top 10 teams, and I think both teams need this win to solidify their season.

1. #1 Alabama at #4 Auburn – 2:30 p.m. CBS

The 78th Iron Bowl will go down in the history books as one of the biggest, if not the biggest to ever be played. The winner of the last 4 Iron Bowls has won the BCS National Championship, and that could very well be the case again this year. This could also be AJ McCarron’s chance to have a “Heisman Moment”. How many “Games of the Century” can you have?

Bragging rights and sports have always gone hand-in-hand with each other. Teams and players are always competing for the right to brag and pump their chest. Cities also enjoy showing off venues, always
Cities also enjoy showing off venues, always trying to one up their neighbor, its human nature. Last night as the Birmingham Barons beat the Mississippi Braves in front of a packed out ballpark the city had bragging rights.
