Iron Bowl "just another game" for Bama?

BIRMINGHAM, AL -

Nick Saban's message has not changed.

"It's not really worrying about whether you're going to celebrate or be sad," Saban said. "I never think of it that way. I always think about what do we need to do try to play well."

But let's go over again what's at stake for Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

An SEC West title, a chance to win your third-straight BCS National Title, and let's not forget your fan base will be in pure agony for the next year if you lose.

Bama's players maintain Saturday's game against Auburn will be treated like just another game.

"When you're undefeated, the next team in your way is the team that's trying to take what you've worked for," Bama quarterback AJ McCarron said. "If you lose that game, then your goal of reaching the national championship is probably over. I think it's just another Saturday. Everybody needs to realize that, go out, just play, and have fun."

"To me personally, it really is just another Saturday," Bama linebacker Trey DePreist said. "I've never really bought into the rankings and all that. It's definitely the challenge at hand but you can't just look at it like that. Sometimes you psych yourself out."

The Tide players might be treating this as just another game, but history indicates it's not. #4 Auburn will be the highest ranked opponent Alabama has ever faced while ranked #1 in the country during the regular season.
