RALEIGH, N.C. -

The popular Jingle Ball is Thursday night at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh, where hundreds will bring toys for the Salvation Army and celebrate the season.

This is the 20th anniversary of the event, which runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Jingle Ball is put on each year by the Capital City Clauses. The event is free, but admission is an unwrapped toy worth $20 for a child in the age range from newborn to 12 years old. The VIP tickets for the event have sold out.

The Capital City Clauses is teaming up with WNCN to help raise toys for area children. Last year, the Jingle Ball and Stock the Sled raised 6,060 toys. The goal this year is to raise more than 7,000.

This year, WNCN and the Clauses will hold Stock the Sled on Friday, Dec. 13 at North Hills and The Streets of Southpoint.
