UPDATE: Four suspects arrested in connection with Opelika robbery

OPELIKA, Ala. -

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Waverly Parkway Convenience Store in Opelika.

On Dec. 5 around 3:35 p.m., Opelika police responded to a reported robbery at the store. Further investigation revealed two suspects, one believed to be a black male and the second believed to be a black female entered the business. They were wearing all black clothing and wearing gloves and masks. Both suspects pulled out handguns and demanded the money from the cash registers and two packs of cigarettes from the store clerk. The clerk complied and gave the suspects what they wanted. As the two suspects fled the business one of them fired a single gunshot into the air.

Officers were able to obtain a tag number of a possible suspect vehicle that was seen leaving the scene. The information was broadcast to local agencies.

About 30 minutes later the Opelika Police Department was notified that the vehicle had been stopped by police in Dadeville and there were four suspects being detained. Located in the vehicle were several handguns, cash, and masks.

The four suspects were later transported to the Opelika Police Department for questioning. All four individuals were later arrested and charged with Robbery First Degree. They are identified as Trayveka La-British Stanley, age 22 of Camp Hill, Whitney Lashay McNair, age 20 of Camp Hill, Dantavis Saijuan Carvez Doss, age 19 of Camp Hill, and Quartavious Lamont Wisdom, age 20 of Auburn. All of the individuals were later transported to the Lee County Detention Center.

Authorities with the Chambers County Sheriff's Office say Johnny Bolt, of Five Points, walked into the sheriff's office this week and confessed to sexually abusing a family member under the age of 12. They say he was arrested Thursday and made bond that same day.
