The man police said robbed the PNC Bank in Wake Forest Wednesday was arrested in New Orleans Friday night.
Authorities said Lanson Stalf was arrested at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel by U.S. Marshals Task Force officers.
Police said Stalf, 37, robbed the bank at 3619 Rogers Lane which sparked immediate lockdowns at four Wake County public schools for a brief time.
Stalf is currently being held in New Orleans. The Wake County District Attorney's Office has approved extradition, according to authorities.
Stalf will be transported back to Raleigh and charged with common law robbery.
