Ten arrested in Hillsborough drug crackdown

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -

Hillsborough police officers arrested an additional 10 people Tuesday  as part of a six-month investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in town.

The 10 arrests Tuesday resulted in 76 charges. More arrests are expected from this investigation.

"These arrests are the result of a significant amount of work by our investigations team and our partner organizations, and we are not done yet," Hillsborough Police Chief Duane Hampton said. "We are committed to making our community safe, and I hope the message we are sending is clear: ‘If you sell drugs in our community, we are coming for you.' "

Arrested Tuesday were:

* Calvin Bernard Bragg, 46, of W. Orange St. in Hillsborough. He was charged with two felonies and placed in Orange County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

* Peter Sam Jacobs, 33, of Homemont Ave. in Hillsborough. He was charged with eight felonies and one misdemeanor crime and placed in Orange County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

* Damion Marquis Love, 30 of Cornelius St. in Hillsborough. He was charged with six felonies and two misdemeanors and placed in Orange County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

* Jerry Lunsford, 31 of Homemont Ave. in Hillsborough. He was charged with eight felonies and placed in Orange County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

* Brent Kerry Mayo, 29, of Faucette Mill Road in Hillsborough. He was charged with nine felonies and placed in Orange County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

* Quinton Douglas McPherson, 50, of W. Queen St. in Hillsborough. He was charged with three felonies and placed in Orange County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

* Spencer McPherson, 58, of U.S. 70A E. in Hillsborough. He was charged with six felonies and two misdemeanor crimes and placed in Orange County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

* Dwight Corneilus Ragland, 39, of Hill St. in Hillsborough. He was charged with nine felonies and placed in Orange County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

* Chelsea Lynn Satterfield, 22, of Old N.C. 10 Lot B8 in Hillsborough. She was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor crime and placed in Orange County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

* William Nathaniel Wardlow, 40, of Tulip Tree Road in Hillsborough. He was charged with 11 felonies and three counts of a misdemeanor crime and placed in Orange County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.
