Ex-UNC player who rented from Williams faces marijuana charges

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

Former North Carolina basketball player Will Graves has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia while living in a home owned by coach Roy Williams.

Graves, 25, was at UNC this past semester and rented a home on Pinehurst Drive from Williams.

His occupation is listed as "student" and he gives his current address as an apartment in Greensboro.

Graves issued an apology Friday saying "I can blame only myself for my own stupid actions."

The 6-foot-6 Graves was arrested Dec. 6.

Graves was a senior on the Carolina team in 2010 when he was dismissed from the team in October. At the time, Williams said Graves failed to comply with team rules.

Graves had been third on the Tar Heels in scoring in the 2009-2010 season.
