Georgia suspends two for Gator Bowl

ATHENS, Ga. -

Two Georgia defensive players have been suspended for the Bulldogs' Jan. 1 Gator Bowl matchup with Nebraska.

Sophomores Josh Harvey-Clemons, a safety, and Sheldon Dawson, a cornerback, have been suspended for a violation of "team regulations," according to an announcement from the school.

No further explanation was given.

Harvey-Clemons was suspended for the first game of this season after violating the UGA student-athlete drug policy, but started each of the following 11 games. He is third on the team with 66 tackles, including 5.5 for loss.

Dawson has started just one game this season, but has seen time in nickel packages and on special teams. He has 13 tackles on the season, one for loss.
