Tigers remember sitting at home last bowl season

Posted: Updated:
“I watched every bowl game including the national championship,” said Auburn defensive end Dee Ford.

Last season, the Auburn Tigers finished (3-9) including a 49-0 Iron Bowl loss. It would go down as one of the worst seasons in Auburn history.

As a result, the offseason was full of changes including the hiring of new head coach Gus Malzahn.

But have the Tigers used last season as motivation?  “When you put in the work, you expect results,” Ford said.

Auburn center Reese Dismukes remembers what it was like sitting at home last season. “In the back of your head you just want to go to a bowl game, you don’t want to be sitting at home,” Dismukes said. “Just came in and worked hard, just to get back to the situation that we are in now.”

#2 Auburn will face #1 Florida State on January 6th at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
