Auburn confident they can pressure FSU offense

NEWPORT BEACH, Ca. - Auburn practice continues in Pasadena, California.

The focus Friday was on the match up between the Auburn defense, and Florida State’s offense, specifically, Heisman trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston.

Winston knows pressure; he was the subject of a sexual assault investigation in Tallahassee last month. But as far as on the field, the Tigers say he hasn't faced a front four like he will on Monday night.

Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson said he can't find a weakness for Winston when he watches film, and that if the Tigers have any hope of stopping or slowing him, they'll have to generate some kind of pressure.pressure that Winston isn't worried about. But tiger defensive end Nosa Eguae will be an equalizer.

“When you talk about pressure, to me, my mentality, I'm thinking about just the stuff on the football field, because that is my sanctuary, and pressure outside of everything else, that's something that I'm not focused on," said Winston.

“It’s all about affecting the quarterback,” said Auburn defensive lineman Nosa Eguae. “That's what it's all about. Up front, that's our job, is to go out there and make it hard for him, and we're going to go out there and do that to the best of our ability."
