UPDATE: Identity released of girl who died in Leeds fire Wednesday night

UPDATE: The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identifies the girl as Holly Renee Amerine, 11, of Leeds.

 
An 11 year old girl died in a fire in Leeds Wednesday night.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reports the fire happened about 10:30pm CT at 9036 Clayton Drive.

The girl was unable to escape the mobile home and died at the scene, according to the Leeds Police Department.

There were others in the house, including adults and other children.

The adults were treated and released from UAB Hospital, and the children were treated at Children’s of Alabama.

The Leeds Police Department, Leeds Fire Department and Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the incident.
