Miss Alabama 2013 teaming up with Optimist Clubs for area book fair

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Miss Alabama 2013 Chandler Champion & the Optimist Clubs in the Birmingham area are sponsoring a Books-A-Million Book Fair today.

The event will be held at area Books-A-Million stores.

"The purpose of the event is to promote Miss Alabama's platform: "Chandler's Challenge: Reading is Believing - Don't Stop Believing," which promotes literacy and encourages children of all ages to read something every day, and to benefit schools/organizations in our community which are in need of books," according to a news release from Champion. "Members of Optimist International are dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids."
