Central's Studds signs with CACC

Posted: Updated:
PHENIX CITY, Ala. - Friday was a big day for Central High’s Kristin Studds. She is a senior on the Red Devil softball team.

On Friday, she signed her letter of intent to play at Central Alabama Community College. She says she is excited to play at the next level.

She knows it would not be possible without her experience at Central.

“The coaches and staff, it's just a very friendly environment here the six years I’ve played on Central's varsity. The two coaches I’ve been through, I’ve really grown in this school through all the people I have met. It has been a real asset to be here,” Studds said.

Studds teammates call her "Scootie." Her career batting average is. 349. Last season, she had one homer and 27 runs batted in.
