Let's be honest.
It was bad.
The last time Alabama and Anthony Grant played a road game at Auburn, it was without question the ugliest game of Alabama's 2012-13 season. Grant's team put up their lowest point total of the season: 37. To put that into perspective, they scored 36 in the first half against LSU over the weekend.
Grant was in Birmingham today speaking to the Tipoff Club.
He says even though this year's Auburn team is 0-6 in SEC play, they are still hungry.
"They've been in every game that they've played, especially at home," Grant said. "This is a team that from what I see on film, really enjoys playing with each other."
Alabama comes into this game after dodging a bullet against LSU on Saturday. The Tide held a 19 point lead in the second half, blew that lead, but managed to hang on.
"We try to learn from every game that we play, whether we win or we lose," Grant said. "Certainly, it will be a lot better to take the lessons from that game and know that we won the game, we can get better from that instead of having to come back off of a loss."
No matter how ugly the game was the last time these two teams played at Auburn Arena, it was still a win for Auburn.
They still have not won an SEC game since. Auburn has lost 16 straight games against SEC opponents.
