Posted: Updated:
Two people face drug charges in Auburn. The Auburn Police Division says Anthony J. Davis, 25, and Sabretia C. Hunt, 24, were arrested Tuesday, February 4, 2014.

Davis was arrested on felony warrants for possession of marijuana first degree and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.  Officers also arrested Sabretia C. Hunt, age 24 from Auburn on felony warrants for possession of marijuana first degree and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Davis and Hunt were arrested during a routine traffic stop.  A news release says an Auburn police officer observed the couple's vehicle traveling on South Gay Street near East Magnolia Avenue without a license plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside.  The vehicle was subsequently searched by police and officers located a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, scale and a handgun.

Davis and Hunt, both of Auburn, were transported to the Lee County Jail where Davis bond was set at $6,000 and Hunt's was set at $4,000.
