The coach of the Clay County Christian Academy basketball team considered making Cody Morris the manager of the team. However, the coaches wife said; "why don't you make him a member of the team and let him play?" That's what the coach did and it's been a part of making this basketball season one the players and the students of the school will never forget. Cody has Down Syndrome and he gets to play in every game. His teammates and the other team's players feed Cody the ball and when he scores a basket the fans roar and Cody jumps in excitement. The Clay County Christian Academy team reminds us that while winning is better than losing, being a team, being kind to others is how real winners behave. We hope you enjoy this Spirit of Alabama report.
