Teenager attacked while jogging in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL - A search is underway for a man accused of attacking a teenage girl while she was jogging.

The 17 year old girl from Tuscaloosa County told authorities she was physically attacked while on a wooded trail in Sokol Park.

The incident happened Sunday just before 11 a.m.

The girl was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

Investigators say the victim was not sexually assaulted.

The suspect has been described as a white male, 18-20 years old, weighing around 230 pounds.

So far, police have not made an arrest in the case.
