Snow creating icy roads in Etowah County

GADSDEN, AL - The rain and sleet changed to snowfall around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

There are now reports of trees down because of the heavy weight of ice and snow.

Road crews are headed out to clear any problems, however drivers are urged to stay put.

All Etowah County schools are closed Thursday.
