Search for possible plane crash in Jasper to resume Friday

JASPER, AL - Authorities will return to a Jasper Friday morning to continue searching for a reported plane crash.

Two witnesses claimed to see the crash around 5 p.m. Thursday near the Walker County Airport.

Emergency responders searched an area known as “Phillips Farm,” located off of Highway 5 west of Jasper.

Several hours later no wreckage was found.

Officials called off the search for the night and plan to resume this morning after daylight.
