Soldier comes home for Valentine’s Day

Posted: Updated:
Patriotism flew high in one Pelham neighborhood.  One of their own has been away serving his country.

There was a sign. There were flags. The neighborhood was decorated in American pride.
Their hero was coming home.

When soldiers deploy they don’t always know when they will get to come home. On this Valentine's Day, cupid didn't miss a beat for one soldier - who has been overseas for almost a year. He is back home in Pelham.

Curtis Lee Cashion was deployed for nine months. He was stationed in Afghanistan.  He left behind two little boys and his wife, but they were united Friday.

The whole neighborhood came out to welcome Cashion home.
