RALEIGH, N.C. -

Stylists at a Brier Creek salon with work in shifts over 24 hours Sunday to raise money for the SPCA of Wake County.

Hairstylists at Blo Salon will provide haircuts to the public from 8 a.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday to raise money for the SPCA of Wake County.

In the event's seven years, the SNIP, SNIP, GIVE 24-Hour Cut-A-Thon has raised more than $60,000. Haircuts are $40.

The Blo staff selected the SPCA of Wake County as this year's beneficiary because the organization promotes adoption of homeless animals and is a no-kill organization.

"We are so excited to partner again with Blo Salon for Snip Snip Give 2014," SPCA Development Director Mondy Lamb said. "The monies raised through this event will allow us to continue helping homeless animals in our community."

Appointments can be booked by calling (919) 484-8600. Walk-ins are also welcome at any time, day or night.

Blo is located at 8451 Brier Creek Parkway in Raleigh.
