Shorter, Ala. -  Alabama First Lady Dianne Bentley will assist Alabama artists and educators in presenting a quilting program to third and fourth grade students at D.C. Wolfe Elementary School in Shorter, Alabama.

The Children’s Patchwork History Project is a two-day event designed to teach Alabama history, geology, math and art through the creation of a stained glass quilt which is displayed in each participating school. On Wednesday, February 26th, Bentley will work with the students to construct glass mosaic quilt panels and share her own interest in quilting with the students.
