DUDLEY, N.C. -

A Wayne County man has been charged with two counts of statutory rape involving a person who is between 13 and 15 years old.

Jervon Demonte Darden, 22, of Dudley, is charged with two counts of statutory rape against a person who is 13, 14, 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Goldsboro Police received the initial report on Feb. 5.

Darden is being held on a $500,000 secured bond.
