COLUMBUS, Ga. - The prosecution continues their arguments Thursday during the fourth day of the Carlton Gary retrial hearing.

Day 4 of the Carlton Gary retrial hearing centered around testimony from police about a "ride along" with Carlton Gary. Current Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren took the stand to testify about his time with Carlton Gary. Boren says in 1984 Gary was arrested in Albany on a warrant for burglary in Columbus.

He says his understanding was that Gary's fingerprints were found at the scene. Boren testified that Gary said he could show them some of the areas of the burglaries. Boren along with 2 other officers went on a "ride along" with Gary.

"There was a possibility that the individual that broke into that house was in fact the individual that had done the murders," said Boren.

The judge heard from 5 prosecution witnesses Thursday. The first testified about Gary's connection to a Syracuse, New York murder. We also heard from the Muscogee County School District Records manager supervisor who brought school aged pictures of Gary.

The hearing will resume Friday morning at 9:00 am.

On Wednesday, the prosecution called experts and witnesses to testify regarding blood samples in the case of the "Stocking Strangler."
