Police searching for escaped prisoner in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Raleigh Police Department said it and other law enforcement agencies are looking for a prisoner who escaped from custody Saturday near 3000 New Bern Ave.

Police said Kevin Terrell Jones, 27, was in the custody of the Wendell Police Department when he broke free and ran.

Raleigh police described Jones as as wearing a black and white striped shirt and light-colored blue jeans.

Jones was last seen on Sunnybrook Road south of New Bern Avenue.

Police said Jones is currently facing charges of involving a felony probation violation, assault on a law enforcement officer, and resisting, delaying or obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Anyone who believes they know Jones’ current whereabouts is asked to call 911.
