Clean up underway in Vestavia Hills following Monday’s severe flooding

Posted: Updated:
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - Heavy rainfall and flash flooding caused major problems in parts of Vestavia Hills.

The Vestavia Bowl parking lot was covered with water Monday morning. The heavy rain actually knocked down parts of a retainer wall intended to keep water out.

Our crew returned to the area this afternoon and found people cleaning up debris scattered by the storm.
