Wednesday's news about Florida State University Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston is taking social media by storm.

Winston was cited for stealing crab legs from a Tallahassee-area Publix.

Facebook and Twitter users were quick to post comments and doctored photos poking fun at FSU's star quarterback (see photos).

Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam even joined in by tweeting, "#FreshFromFlorida crab legs". "Fresh From Florida" is a slogan often used by Florida's Department of Agriculture.

#Winston was trending on Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday.
