Judge refuses to dismiss case against Railroad Park shooting suspect, new bond hearing set

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The man accused in a fatal shooting at Birmingham’s Railroad Park was in court Tuesday morning,

Justin Jones is charged with shooting and killing 15 year-old Jarmaine Walton in March 2013.

Today Jones’ attorney asked a Jefferson County judge to dismiss the case because he claims the main witness backed off of his original story.

The judge denied the request.

Meanwhile, a bond hearing has been set for May 27.
