CHINA - A beekeeper in china has been awarded a world record for the longest time allowing bees to cover his body.

Ruan Liangming covered himself with a layer of honey and sat on a stool while helpers poured bees over the upper half of his body. He had no protection for his eyes, nose or mouth.

Bees covered the upper part of his body including his head for 53 minutes and 34 seconds.

Ruan has been a beekeeper for 19 years and said he has grown immune to bee venom.

After it was all over he said he said he only felt tired and a little itchy.
