FAYETTE, AL - The Fayette Aquatic Center in Guthrie Smith Park has gotten some upgrades prior to its second season of operation.

The city of Fayette added a new lazy river to the campus and have made other improvements to the facility, as well.

The Fayette Aquatic Center opened last year and far surpassed attendance projections with visitors coming from a 75-mile radius.

This year, the facility is expected to open May 24.
