Columbus police are questioning two individuals arrested after another Columbus convenience store was robbed early Thursday, Columbus police Sgt. Anthony Locey says in a news release to WRBL News 3.

Around 12:20a et Thursday, officers responded to the Circle K gas station, located at 5758 Milgen Road, after a reported armed robbery. A short time later, officers located two suspects riding in a vehicle seen leaving the scene.

Police are currently trying to determine if the two arrested are also responsible for armed robberies at other Columbus gas station stores.

The first incident happened around 11p et Tuesday when a man entered Twin's Food Mart, located on Manchester Expressway, and demanded money. He then fired several shots, according to a Columbus police report. A few hours later, the Circle K convenience store, also located on Manchester Expressway, was robbed by a man who demanded cash and fired several shots. In both incidents, the suspect was described as a man wearing all black clothing, durag and bandanna.

Police will be asking witnesses of the first two crimes if they recognize those arrested early Thursday. Sgt. Locey has asked the media not to show the suspects' mug shots until after the two appear in lineups. Authorities are concerned released mug shots could affect who witnesses identify in those lineups.

Anyone with information regarding this ongoing investigation is asked to call Columbus police at 706-653-3400.
