BIRMINGHAM, AL - UAB Blazers senior point guard Chad Frazier was arrested on Wednesday in Birmingham and charged with third-degree domestic violence in connection with an incident in April.

According to Birmingham Police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards, Frazier was involved in a incident back in April with a female. During the incident, Frazier allegedly threw a laptop into a room where the victim was, pushed the victim into a bookshelf, pinned her to the floor and hit her with a closed fist multiple times.

The victim said she bit Frazier and tried to kick him in the genitals to get away from him, and officers noted bruises, redness and scratches on the victim when they arrived.

Frazier was released from the Birmingham City Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.

Alabama's 13 reached out to UAB head basketball coach Jerod Haase and received this statement:
“I am aware of the allegations regarding Chad Frazier. Once the process is complete and all the details are available, we will handle the outcome appropriately. With this being an ongoing situation, we will not be able to comment any further at this time.”
Last season with the Blazers Frazier averaged 17.7 points and 4.3 assists per game.
