    A Florida father who beat up his son's alleged rapist has been hailed a hero by many. But, he says it's his son who is a true hero.

The spirit of the Olympic Games was celebrated Friday in Birmingham.

Lakeshore Foundation joined others around the world to observe Olympic values of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.

They also celebrated the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Day three pillars; Move, Learn, and Discover.

Children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Alabama and the Downtown YMCA Youth Center joined the celebration.

There was a wheelchair rugby scrimmage and folks were able to meet Olympians and Paralympians.
