An athletes push to be the best is always inspiring. But one man isn't letting anything get in the way of his dream of becoming a professional baseball player.

Daniel "Doc" Jacobs lost his left leg, the toes on his right foot, and fingers on his left hand while serving in Iraq after an IED blew up the Humvee he was in.
    
Today, Jacobs got one step closer to his dream by attending an open tryout for the Chicago White Sox at Regions Field (click on the video player above).
