Boyfriend shoots and kills girlfriend at Forrest Road home, police say

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

A female was shot and killed by her boyfriend at a home on Forrest Road in Columbus Tuesday night, police tell News 3.

Jessica Osborne was found dead inside a home on 4304 Forrest Road on Tuesday evening. She was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m., Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan tells News 3. 

Investigators arrested and charged Osborne's boyfriend, Vashon Walker, for the murder. Walker and Osborne were dating and living together, Lt. Greg Touchberry of the Columbus Police Department said.

Walker has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Saturday June 21 at 9:00 a.m.

This is Columbus' 12th homicide of the year.
